Hadith Sherief: Avoid What Is Doubtful

AVOID WHAT IS DOUBTFUL

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“(Actions that are) legal or illegal are (usually) self evident. But in between (what is clearly legal or illegal) are things that are doubtful or cause for suspicion, and most people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious actions saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in (them) is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the private pasture of someone else, and at any moment (the animals) are liable to get into it.”
